Jean-Pierre joined the Angers SCO training centre in France before making his professional debut with the first team in 2011. Then, he played successively for USJA Carquefou and Amiens SC, before going to Switzerland in 2016 and signing for Servette FC. With the Geneva's club, the striker scored 23 goals in 31 games. His fine performances in Geneva earned him the title of best player of the league and opened the doors of the swiss capital club, the BSC Young Boys, with whom he joined in 2017. Passing this level allowed him to win his first national team selection of Cameroon.
